Rob has worn many hats during his powerlifting career. He has championed the cause for "Drug Free" athletics from the beginning. Rob has served as both the IBP NC State Chairman and IBP National Referee Chairman since 2005. He has promoted and directed several powerlifting events in the Carolinas as well as judging at over 70 powerlifting meets under the AAU, WNPF and IBP federations.
Rob’s competitive powerlifting career didn’t begin until age 40. During which he has set over 50 state records and competed in seven different states including: NC, SC, VA, GA, TN, PA, and FL. Rob also represented the United States on two occasions as a member of Team USA at the WNPF World Championships by taking first place. He has set NC State & National records in AAU, IBP, USAPL and WNPF. Rob has multiple National and World titles as a Master’s 148 lbs. lifter and has been ranked as high as 12th on the top 100 for all 148 lbs lifters by USA POWERLIFTING MAGAZINE. He has been ranked as high as 6th by USAPL and is currently ranked #1 with the IBP in the Squat, Deadlift and Total.
